Is this is an emotional affair ?

You will get a varied amount of opinions on this question. In my humble experience, I do not see this as an emotional affair. It may have started as one but has developed into more of an emotional release between friends. I have female friends that I can talk to about everything, and my wife has male friends. I just think as we grow older we open ourselves up to some people and a relationship forms. I would not worry about your relationship with your male friend, I would be thankful that you have someone in your life to share things with, along with having a loving husband. Good luck.
