How many times do you call someone who doesn't return your calls?

I have an acquaintance who I'm trying to distance myself from. I have not returned her calls for over a month, but she keeps calling. This is a platonic friendship, nothing more. I would have given up after leaving the third message. What is an appropriate time frame for you and why? Thanks.
